About Working Travelers

Our journey started in 2021, when we laid the foundation for our first company together: Bridge Marketing. We combined our skills (Arjen as a Web Developer, Daphne as a Copywriter) to build an outstanding online presence for our clients in various sectors.

Slowly but steadily, our business started to grow – and in 2023, an unforeseen combination of circumstances suddenly showed us that since all our work could be done remotely, we might as well work from abroad for a while. And so, we ended up traveling through South-East Asia for 6 months while we continued our business. Our mornings were spent working from hotel rooms, co-working spaces and coffeeshops, and in the afternoons we went out hiking, visiting temples and trying out the delicious local food.

Although it was not our first long-term travel, it was our first time traveling and working – so we kinda figured everything out on the go. During our travels, we met a lot of different people, and it made us realize everyone was kinda figuring it out on the go. Halfway through our journey, we ended up inspiring Arjens father to chase his dreams as well and spend a month traveling Thailand and Vietnam. It was his first time traveling outside of Europe, so he had a long, extensive list of questions – from where to do the laundry to whether we thought he would meet other 50+ travelers.

Makes sense, because when you’re traveling for the first time, it can be hard to know where to start. Especially since most travel blogs are aimed primarily at digital nomads: people that have an online business while traveling. But what about people that are employed, but working remotely? Or people who don’t want to work from their laptop, and prefer to work on a farm in Australia for some time?

Our goal is to combine our website building and copywriting skills with our own experiences as digital nomads to provide one FREE source of information for the worldwide community of working travelers.

If you Google ‘how to live as a digital nomad?’ you will probably find about 10.000 different blogs. Most of them are limited to digital nomads only, the information is all over the place, important practical information is often missing. (Like, do you need a visa? What to do with your laundry? How do you actually make friends on your trips?!) Sometimes, people even try to charge you for buying their ebook our online course with information that SHOULD and CAN be found online. You just need to know where to look.

With Working Travelers, we aim to be that one source for you. As of now, our platform is still a work in progress, but our goal is to be your #1 source of information – where to live, how to meet other people as a solo traveler, practical travel essentials you shouldn’t forget, but also some necessary information such as where to apply for your visa. This way, you don’t have to search through five different websites to find an answer to your question. And the best part? It’s all free for everyone! No matter what your way of working and traveling is.
